Build 220221 - revision 4


Kinda busy with work atm, yet still nailed a build that is clearly worth the effort...

  • Both the Config utility and the game now use a better default setting (applied should the config.cfg file be removed, manually or via "Reset config"):
    • A default LUT selection instead of none;
    • Other options tweaked for a better default image look (mostly follow the shipped config file).
  • Particle system memory manager reworked:
    • Dynamic quality degradation: whenever enabled for an object, it will, if unable to be fit (not enough dedicated memory left, that is), be reduced in quality in order to fit the longest free segment;
    • Preemptive degradation (can be switched off): the particle system creation routine will drop the quality for the systems that try to occupy more then 50% of the free memory, reducing the chance of "granularity popping" or failed spawns;
    • Accurate feedback for the PARUTIL option.
  • Improved dust shader (no more line-like distinct patterns on some GPU drivers).
  • MID and M4A extensions now also list as the default media player ones.
