Build 070222

No, not dead yet :) The update is truly massive (so expect bugs, crashes whatsoever :P ), and along with some general fixes it introduces two new test environments built using the brand new map controller system! One is set around a giant water-cooled railgun, basically a start of what I plan as the core of the final arena, the other is a quick attempt at a space scene.

If you get a crash with a message telling no model file found, enable the "Accurate collisions" in config (I was too lazy to remake the tunnel collision mesh for the new collision system, and I actually doubt I'll do any time soon as it doesn't feel to be necessary anymore).

If you hate the new "fake RTX" (background tracing on speculars basically), replace the map's FXH with the one from the "No fake mirror" folder (use Config to drop the shader cache).

Also, the open-area maps feature two new enemy AI types (as the tunnel ones could not fit). One is a drone that sits there until bored, then moves to a random location (tending to you and avoiding collisions). The other one is a "dasher", the worst static enemy I could come up with! Pretty much like the previous one, but simply teleports away a large distance if still for a while. Hope you have the particles turned on, as one leaves a glaring trail when doing so... Oh, and the mines we all love not (higher trigger radius if outside, so better keep moving when a wave starts) :)

Anyway, fixes and stuff, like usually:

  • st maps to play with;
  • Projectiles no longer clip through walls;
  • The railguns now need to hit the enemy geometry exactly (some bullet radius involved), unlike in the older builds relying on the enemy radius instead;
  • Wave failure causes all the enemies to de-spawn with a neat fade effect;
  • Fixed the incorrect parsing of the "ar inf" command (immediate light adaptation that is);
  • "MP" command invoking the media player's menu (can't remember it being in the older versions);
  • Some random tweaks I don't remember :)
